For the second instalment in this series, we're going to keep on shining the light on our awesome team at CKHQ, continuing with Jess! She's always running around London keeping our stockists happy and well supplied (and her step count up!). It wasn't easy, but we've managed to catch her for a quick few questions...
What do you get up to day to day?
I’m in charge of field sales all over London. Luckily for me, every day is different! I visit independent stores to check they are fully stocked up and help them out by sorting out any orders they need, or pitch to new stores to see if they want Candy Kittens in stock too. I visit the larger national stores and supermarkets, and set up points of sale as I go along to keep the brand image alive and looking good in store in order to boost sales. I also spend some days in the office to keep up with planning on where I am headed next! It’s a great mix- I love that I get to spend time with everyone in the office, but I also get out and explore London as I work!
What do you love about working at Candy Kittens?
It’s not just about the endless free sweets (although that’s a massive perk!). I love the atmosphere in the office thanks to the amazing team. It’s great working for a young company and being able to make a difference in it. I’m also proud to be working for a well known brand- people are always asking me about it!
What’s your favourite flavour? Why?
I always crave Sour Watermelon! They’re the perfect mix of sweet and sour- SO MOREISH!
What’s been the highlight so far?
Last week was Candy Day (our 6th birthday) and I absolutely loved it. We celebrated with brunch, activities in the day and a party in the office all night. It was great fun meeting people from other companies, and it brought be much closer to the Candy Kittens team too!
What are the best bits about your job?
I love that every day is different, and that I’m able to control and plan what I do. It allows me to think for myself and work out what I think would work best to push sales and spread brand awareness. I really love that it is such a people based job, and I get to meet so many different people when I am out and about in London- both customers and stockists (a smile is necessary for this job!). I hadn’t considered sales before, nor did I have any experience, but the CK team have been super supportive which I have really appreciated.
How can you apply for the job?
