Our Neighbourhood Heroes, Alaina & Misola, took our Vegetarian & Vegan sweets out to some of their favourite independent retailers for National Vegetarian Week.
This week marked the beginning of National Vegetarian Week and with our range now being gelatine free, we thought it would be a great opportunity to show off our independent retailers.
As Field Sales members, we took to the streets of London to visit five of our vegetarian stockists who had nothing but good things to say about Candy Kittens! It was great to meet all of the staff who were pleased to see we were getting involved with National Vegetarian Week.
First stop was Green Bay grocery on the North End Road, which specialises in all things vegan and vegetarian. It is London’s only 100% vegan supermarket and is just a stone’s throw away from CKHQ. The staff there are huge fans of our sweets as not only are they vegan and vegetarian, they’re also gluten-free!

Next up was Hoxton Fruits on Clapham High-street. They’re a family run greengrocers and general food store, who proudly stock Candy Kittens. We also met their feline friend, Ping-a-ling, who couldn’t keep her paws off the sweets!

After this we hopped on the train and headed for The Lodge Space in Canada Water. Not only is this place a café but it is also a health and well-being destination where you can do Yoga classes, get a relaxing massage and of course snack on some Candy Kittens to treat yourself at the end of it all. They also have a beautiful Zen Garden out the back where they encourage customers to enjoy their food al fresco, or simply take time out from your busy schedule. In fact, it was so charming that we decided to have our lunch break there, trying the Firecracker Rice and the Egg Salutation- both a must try!
It was safe to say we felt truly relaxed and satisfied.

Feeling full, we set off to our next stop which was The Fruit Tree in Southwark. A great place to stock up on grocery’s, grab a healthy bite to eat and pick up your pack of Candy Kittens!
Finally, to finish off the day we hit Raw Store, just a five-minute walk from Old Street station. It is full of organic, diet-specific or local produce but most importantly, stocks Candy Kittens! The store is packed with tonnes of veggie goodness and fits right in with Shoreditch’s trendy reputation.

There’s still 5 days of National Vegetarian Week left so be sure to visit these stores and cafes, to get your veggie fix and stock up on Candy Kittens!
