THIS WEEK WE'RE LOVING...

by Maddy de Winter, 29th October 2019

I'm sure you're all aware but every week we share what we've all been loving (apart from Candy Kittens sweets obviously). It's Tuesday so it's time for another weekly dose of "This Week We're Loving". Who knows maybe you'll discover something new!

Ed, our Managing Director: I'm loving Sardine!

Sardine opened in July 2016 and focuses on Southern French cooking over a custom-built charcoal fire in London. The restaurant is run by Alex Jackson, former Head Chef at Stevie Parle's Dock Kitchen and Rotorino restaurants.

Sardine is located within the same building as Parasol unit art gallery, and aims to offer simple, homely, Southern French cooking to the growing communities of City Road, between Old Street and Islington.

Kitty, our Social Media Executive: Over the weekend I went to Veg fest, I met loads of inspiring vegan athletes and tried some delicious snacks!

VegFest is one of the UK's largest Vegan events. It showcases all exhibitors, caterers, speakers, entertainers, sponsors, talks, cookery demos, workshops, panels and kids activities in the name of all things Vegan. It's a great opportunity to discover all things Vegan, educate yourself and celebrate Veganism. It's definitely worth penciling it in the diary for next year!

Izzy, our Sales Intern: I Loved The Muddler in Newcastle. It's a fab Asian restaurant!

The Muddler offers an exquisite selection of Pan-Asian cuisine and an array of unique cocktails. Expect beautiful surroundings and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere in their luxuriously lavish and beautifully finished restaurant.

Emma, our Head of Sales: The series 'Rotten' on Netflix, I just watched the bottled water one :eyes:.

Rotten is a docuseries that travels deep into the heart of the food supply chain to reveal unsavory truths and expose hidden forces that shape what we eat.

Jack, our Commercial Manager: I'm loving wearing my England rugby top every day!

With the Rugby World Cup taking place, and England through to the Final, playing South Africa this Saturday, it's hard not to be excited! Make sure you watch the match on Saturday at 9am in ITV, it's not one to be missed! Plus a great excuse to head to the pub early 👀(we won't judge)...

Amy, our Marketing Executive: I'm getting excited for Pitchfork Festival this weekend in Paris :carlton:!

Pitchfork Music Festival Paris is the 'not-to-be-missed music event of fall' in Pairs. The event’s home is right in the heart of the Grand Halle de la Villette in Paris’ 19th arrondissement, and has been since 2011. Over three days, the festival welcomes a music-mad crowd with an ambitious line-up that is unrivalled, showcasing the best international music from the indie scene.

Georgina, our Marketing Manager: I'm loving David Attenborough’s new series - Seven Worlds One Planet. Plus Gibraltar is going to be on it sooooo :flag-gi: (my home town)!

Seven Worlds One Planet aired on Sunday evening, revealing the extraordinary wildlife stories and unseen wilderness of our seven unique continents. This is Sir David Attenborough's latest nature series and it has received five-star reviews from critics, one of whom says it may be the BBC's "best wildlife show ever". It's definitely one to watch!

Laura, our Supply Chain Manager: I'm loving Victoria Park fireworks :fireworks:.

Victoria Park is hosting an evening of fantastic fireworks and space-inspired fun this Bonfire Night weekend (Sunday 3rd November). This year’s free firework display is themed on the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11’s moon-landing voyage, and features glittering visuals paired with a themed soundtrack. Warm up with a hot cuppa and indulge in sizzling food from the stalls before watching the mesmerising firework show at 7pm.

Ali, our Commercial Manager: I'm currently researching how best to waterproof myself before the rain next week. These are a couple of products I'm looking at to do the job!
