This Week We're Loving...

by Maddy de Winter, 24th September 2019

So here at CKHQ we can't JUST be addicted to sweets so we're finding alternative ways to channel our sweet tooth and addictive personalities elsewhere. Here is what we're loving at CKHQ this week.

Brad, our Designer: "I'm loving the Rugby World Cup!"

The Rugby World Cup is a men's rugby union tournament contested every four years between the top international teams. Catch England playing the USA this Thursday at 11:45 on ITV!

Annabelle, our Head of Operations: "I'm loving a history podcast called "You're Dead to Me" which is a comedy podcast that does little bite sized episodes about major events in history. The host is one of the historians that worked on horrible histories!"

Greg Jenner introduces his new history podcast for people who don’t like history or who forgot to learn any at school. You can listen to it HERE!

Emma, our Head of Sales: "I am loving the Guide Dog documentary on Netflix “pick of the litter” (thanks for the recommendation Georgina) literally cried all night, what a heartbreaker!"

The documentary follows 5 Labrador puppies embarking on a 20-month training to pass the milestones on their journey to becoming guide dogs for people with visual impairment. Start watching HERE!

Hayley, our Office Manager: "I'm loving a podcast called 'The High Low' hosted by journalists Dolly Alderton and Pandora Sykes. It's a weekly podcast covering current affairs and pop-culture and I'm hooked!"

Moynul, our Ecommerce Manager: "I'm loving Stranger Things - Season 3 - finally started watching on Netflix last week - added bonus is that my missus usually falls asleep during the show so I get a bit of me time :ok_hand:."

The Netflix series follows what happens when a young boy vanishes. And the small town uncovers a mystery involving secret experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one strange little girl. If you haven't already - start watching HERE!

Izzy, our Sales Intern: "I'm loving the Dean Townhouse in Soho. Had the most delicious fish there and the atmosphere in the evening is great ."

Dean Street Townhouse is a 39-bedroom hotel and all-day dining room in the thick of Soho, central London. The four-storey Georgian residence, formerly home to the Gargoyle Club, provides British comfort and style. The Townhouse restaurant is an informal dining room, with a long bar, a snug and a Dean Street terrace. It serves British food using the best seasonal produce.

Kitty, our Social Media Executive: "Marmite roast potatoes- it's a vibe".
