It’s that time of the week again, and we are ready to delve into some of the top things that we are loving this week at CKHQ.

Kitty, our Social Media Executive:

Last weekend I visited Winter Wonderland and I had a great time. I think I may have to make it a tradition to return every year from now. There’s no better place to get you in the Christmas spirit. My favourite part of the evening was being able to have a drink with my friends at the Bavarian Village Chalet as I was looking forward to a few mulled wines to warm me up from the cold!

Emily, our Operations Executive:

I have been so excited to see Frozen 2 and I wasn’t disappointed when I watched it last week. I really enjoyed the original movie when it came out so obviously had to go see the second film! And before you judge me, know that we weren't the only 24-year-olds in the cinema!

If you’re a little bored of the classic Christmas films, or like me, have watched Love Actually over a thousand times, then I highly suggest going to watch Frozen 2 this December as I think it’s a new Disney classic that everyone can enjoy (even the big kids like us!)

Lucy, our Marketing Intern:

When it gets to this time of year, I’m so excited to see the release of the Christmas adverts! This year was no exception, and for me, there was a clear, stand-alone winner that reigned supreme! Before I reveal my winner, let’s go through some of my favourites over the past few years.

In 2015 we had Sainsbury’s who featured a short film on Mog, the fat cat from the books that I’m sure you’ve had read to you as a child. In 2013 we had the heartwarming rendition of the Bear and The Hare by John Lewis & Waitrose too. I felt like I had Lily Allen’s song ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ in my head for months after this advert had played!

However, my worth it winner this year goes again to John Lewis & Waitrose for their endearing story about ‘Excitable Edgar', a dragon who longs to be accepted and involved in the festive activities. Don’t worry, I’m not going to reveal any spoilers. You’ll have to watch to the end of the advert to see what happens to Edgar!

Annabelle, our Head of Operations

Last Friday I decided to treat myself to an epic manicure. I went to a brand new salon in Shoreditch and I felt so pampered. I especially loved going to this salon because I'm supporting a female-founded brand! The owner also supports other local female-founded brands by selling their products in-store too. What a great idea? Girl Power!
