It’s Tuesday, which means one thing...It’s time to find out what we’re loving this week at CKHQ! Who knows, you might even discover your new favourite restaurant or a brand new TV series to binge watch this winter!

Emma, our Commercial Executive: Bogan Bingo’s what I’m loving this week!

This week the Candy Kittens team all went down to The Redback in Fulham for a night filled with bad mullets, wife beater tank tops and a few rounds of bingo with an Aussie twist. We won’t spoil the fun for you guys, but our two bingo hosts ‘Shano’ and 'Bogan Benny' definitely got us all laughing and dancing to their cheesy jokes and cringey 80’s/90’s anthems. If you’re looking for an alternative and entertaining night out then Emma can assure you, Bogan Bingo is where it’s at!

Laura, our Supply Chain Manager: I spent the weekend at Tits London which is on until the 30th of November.

Tits London is a pop up shop in Shoreditch celebrating female designers and artists who are selling their goods for 2 weeks only! Tits is great not only for its support of female designers, but also because 10% of all proceeds go to breast cancer awareness charity, CoppaFeel! Why not head down and pick up some Christmas gifts for your sister, your mum or even your nan? You can find their pop up at 188 Shoreditch High Street.

Ella our Sweet Force member: I’ve been loving listening to the podcast series ‘Off Menu’ with James Acaster and Ed Gamble.

For those of you who aren't in on the podcast hype yet, this is definitely a great place to start. British comedians Acaster and Gamble set up this podcast 11 months ago and it’s been a hit ever since. Each episode they invite in new guests to discuss their dream menu from start to finish, while the duo probe them to elaborate on their answers. This podcast definitely gets you giggling and cheers up any school/work commute! If you want to tune in, check it out here.

Annabelle, our Head of Operations: You have to try The Katsu Sando, Tōu at Arcade Food Theatre!

Over the last year the Katsu Sando has become increasingly popular and trendy in London. This epic Japanese contribution to the world of sandwiches consists of a breaded pork cutlet, made with precisely sliced white bread, and usually features a slaw of some kind. The innovative and award winning chefs Ana Gonçalves and Zijun Meng are now serving up their tasty version for you to all try out at Tōu (pronounced toe) at Arcade Food Theatre. Annabelle recommends heading down with a group of friends to taste this incredible creation!

Laura, our Sweet Force member: I’m so happy because First Dates is back on!

If you haven’t heard of First Dates then you are seriously missing out! The premise of the programme is that two people who have never met before dine together at a luxurious restaurant near St Pauls, hosted by Fred who is now a household name for many! Watch people squirm under the pressure of a first date as cameras record their every conversation in the hope that true love will eventually blossom! It’s a winner. Tune in on Channel 4 every Tuesday at 10pm.

Amy, our Marketing Executive: I’ve been eagerly awaiting the new release of The Crown and it’s finally here!

Yesterday Netflix released the latest series of The Crown, a series based on the award winning play “The Audience” by Peter Morgan. This thrilling Netflix original presents the life of Queen Elizabeth II and follows her life from the 1940’s to modern day. Amy’s been on a slight Netflix binge and is already three episodes deep just one day in!

That's it for this week! Love CKHQ x
