It’s that time of the week again, and we are ready to delve into some of the top things that we are loving this week at CKHQ. Stay tuned to find out what we have been up to…

Emma C, our Commercial Executive: I could not stop watching the second series of Sex Education on Netflix.

If you’re familiar with the epic Netflix series that hit our screens last year, then I’m sure you’re well aware of the new season that has just been released this January. For those of you that don’t know, Sex Education follows the trials and tribulations of school teenagers, focusing on their sexual journey through self-discovery and relationships. It’s taken me a while to complete the series, but as of this weekend, I can officially say I’ve done it. If you’re in need of a new show to binge on, choose this!

Laura, our Supply Chain Manager: I’ve just found out that Eurostar will be running direct train journeys from London to Amsterdam!

I've always wanted to visit Amsterdam and now things have been made even easier! The announcement has meant that from April, you can now board a direct train from London straight to Amsterdam making your journey quicker and easier. And the best part? The train uses 80% less CO2 than the equivalent air journey… I know… we were shocked too! There are always small changes that we can make to help save our planet, so why don’t you consider switching to a more eco-friendly mode of transport when travelling abroad!

Lucy, our Marketing Intern: I went to visit an incredible installation by Emmanuelle Moureaux’s .

On the weekend I went to see the installation called ‘Slices of Time’ at the Now Gallery and I was blown away. Featuring thousands of cut-out coloured numbers suspended from the ceiling, the artwork was meant to capture the notion of Shikari; a Japanese concept that divides space with colour. It was totally mesmerising in real life. Pictures don’t do it justice!

Annabelle, our Head of Operations: They’re opening another Padella restaurant this week and I cannot wait to go!

If you have been searching for an amazing, affordable Italian restaurant in London, then look no further. Padella prides itself on its simple yet delicious menu of pasta dishes (which are legendary!). The popular restaurant is almost always packed whenever I want to go, so it's great that they will have a new restaurant opening in Shoreditch. Opening on the 13th of February, just before Valentine’s day... Woohoo!
