It’s that time of the week again, and we are ready to delve into some of the top things that we are loving this week at CKHQ. Stay tuned to find out what we have been up to…

Ana, our Marketing Manager: I went to The Gate for Sunday lunch!

This month I have taken part in veganuary and as part of the challenge I’ve loved finding new places where I can eat. This weekend I visited The Gate in Hammersmith, it's a vegetarian restaurant but most of the menu is actually vegan, and the food is DELICIOUS! I highly recommend it if you’re doing veganuary like me!

Kitty, our Social Media Executive - I enjoyed watching “Meat the family” over the weekend!

The series follows a group of meat-eaters who adopt farm animals as part of an experiment to see if this changes their eating habits. At the end of the week, the family must choose to eat their farm animals or change to a vegetarian diet! It's really interesting to see people's decisions at the end of the two-week process because you notice that once the families have raised the animals in their back gardens, they think twice about wanting to eat meat again!

Mariola, our Finance Controller - I had a lovely time eating at Hakkasan, a beautiful restaurant in the heart of Mayfair.

I had heard that this restaurant was awarded a Michelin star less within a year of opening, so I had extremely high expectations of the place! One of the reasons I was excited to visit Hakkasan is because it serves modern Cantonese cuisine ( which is my favourite). I was absolutely blown away by the attention to detail that goes into every single dish! A perfect place for a special occasion.

Jack, our Sales Commercial Manager

I have been loving the new series of Celebrity Ex on the Beach! If you’re a fan of the original show, then you’ll want to watch the celebrity version, because it’s even more epic! A lot of people you will recognise from programmes like Love Island, TOWIE and Geordie Shore, so if you love your reality TV like I do, then I’m sure this will be right up your street too!

Jemma, our Operations Intern

I was so excited to go to Liverpool last weekend to see my friends from university! I had not seen my friends in a long time because we live so far away, so it felt like a catch up was long overdue! In the daytime, we wandered around the shops in the city centre and stopped off for brunch and a few cocktails at one of my favourite places called The Florist!  We had such an amazing time and I can’t wait for our next outing together!
