Last week was a very exciting and sugary one here at CKHQ, as we held our first ever Sweet Squad event!

On Thursday the team headed down to Donut Time in Soho and had the entire of the top floor to themselves to make delicious donuts! It was Candy Kittens first ever Sweet Squad event and what a way to kick it off. The Sweet Squad are our team of social media influencers who love and represent the Candy Kittens brand, and everyone got really stuck in! Everyone was given 8 donuts each to decorate, I know what your probably thinking... 8 EACH!? It's a lot right, you can't say we don't know how to have fun! Everyone made 4 of the Donut Time's classic vegan donuts and 4 of their own inventions! I think it's safe to say that everyone left Donut Time on a huge sugar high.

The 4 classic donuts made by everyone were all vegan and they were delicious! The team made:

Ice Ice Bae Bae: Vanilla buttercream, vegan cookie pieces, chocolate chip cookie dough and chocolate drizzle!

David Hassel-Biscoff: Vegan caramel glaze, chocolate drizzled, filled with Lotus Biscoff spread, topped with vegan caramel buttercream and a Lotus biscuit!

Pump Up The Jam: Raspberry plum jam filled and dusted with cinnamon sugar!

Sia Later: Red velvet doughnut with butter cream frosting and freeze dried raspberries!

For the other 4 donuts, the Sweet Squad and our team had free rein, and could put anything on and in their donuts, and we mean literally anything! There was all of the fillings, toppings and sprinkles you could imagine. Quite naturally there was a variety of donuts produced in an array of flavours and colours, it's just too hard to chose just one topping right!?

Our founder, Jamie Laing, also tried to show off some of his donut making skills as well... although his were 'interesting' to say the least. We probably shouldn't say this but we think what our Sweet Squad produced, donut wise, was far better than any of Jamie's donuts 🤫But we'll let you guys be the judge of that!
