The Lowdown From CKHQ
by Maddy de Winter, 27th September 2019
After a very hectic but very exciting week last week, with the launch of our new flavour TROPICAL MANGO, this week we've had a bit of a chance to recuperate and catch up on other important CKHQ jobs!
On Wednesday, myself and Amy, our Marketing Executive, headed to an event called Day Breaker. Day Breaker "is a morning dance party that will start your day with energy and intention". This early morning dance movement is in 25 cities around the world. It starts with one hour of yoga or heart-pumping workout and then dancing with reckless abandon for two hours before work!
The event we attended was at the members club The Curtain in Shoreditch. We attended with our Candy Kittens stand and sampled our new Tropical Mango flavour to the early risers and party attendees! We massively lucked out and were fortunate enough to be able to take part in the morning Yoga! We started with yoga, then a 2 hour dance party took place, followed by drinks and snacks and finished with 15 minutes of meditation... ALL before work - crazy right!?
The dance party itself was pretty epic with disco balls, two DJs and a seriously loud sound system. It was also quite refreshing to see so many people 'cutting some serious shapes' at 7 am in the morning! There were dance offs, conga lines, break dancing and back flips. You name a dance move... it happened. There were even some prizes given away for best dancers and and most outrageous moves!
And don't you worry, even though we were working, Amy and myself did manage to get involved and 'throw some illegal shapes'... 👀👯♀️. For an idea and a bit of insight into some of our 'dance moves', see below:

We are also very pleased to announce that we have been nominated for an ASDA Excellent Execution of the year award! This is our second nomination for an ASDA award and we are over the moon - fingers crossed for a win!🤞🙏
All in all another very different and varied week at CKHQ! 🍬💖
