SAY HEY TO ANA, OUR MARKETING MANAGER
by Maddy de Winter, 16th October 2019
Say hey to Ana, our new Marketing Manager!
What is the best part about working for Candy Kittens so far?
Being a relatively small company there's loads to get involved in and it's a really fast paced environment, which keeps you on your toes and means that one day is always different to the next and never boring! Everyone gets stuck in and shares their opinions which creates a really exciting and energetic atmosphere, especially when everyone is so creative. It's only been a couple of weeks but the team are lovely and great fun, so I feel like I've been here for ages! Also, Ed the MD has brought his new puppy in a few times and that's a great addition to the office!
Describe a day in the life.
- 7.30am - wake up
- 8.45am - arrive at work and make myself a big breakfast whilst checking emails
- 9am - I am a bit of a caffeine addict and need to get my fix first thing, so I tend to go out and grab something from a local cafe
- 9-5.30pm - a typical day at work is a mixture of being in meetings and being at my desk, but the content massively varies!
- 5.30pm - I leave work
- 6.30 onwards - either I am out for dinner with friends, having a chilled one at home cooking dinner, or going to a gym class (when I can!) Then I am one of those people who always tries but always fails to 'get an early night'.
What is the best part of your role?
It's so varied! My role is a mixture of strategy and execution, which I love because it means I am using different skills, I am being challenged in different ways, and it's never dull. One minute I can be researching latest trends and collating consumer insights, next I can be out of the office developing our 2020 marketing strategy and new product pipeline, and the next I can be on a photoshoot!
Which upcoming Candy Kittens event are you most looking forward to?
We will be at loads of Christmas shows over the next couple of months which I'm really excited about!
I love our new tropical mango flavour!
Tell us a fun fact about you!
I love travelling and I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie (having two very competitive brothers I've grown up with the attitude of anything they can do I can do too, which means I like a challenge)! So I have done things like cage diving with great white sharks in South Africa, bungee jumping in Zimbabwe, and cycling death road in Bolivia. These tend to be one time things but I'm excited to find the next one!
